The work to be completed consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to construct a waterline on Washington Street from Bona Road to Shagburn Street, and on Gwinnett Street from Latimore Avenue to the end of Gwinnett Street. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, and any technicalities, and to reject any or all bids.
There will be a Pre-Bid Conference at Buford City Hall, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia 30518 at 10:00 A.M. local time on October 2, 2008. All bidders are encouraged to attend this conference.

Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor, subcontractor must also comply with all Federal, State, and local requirements. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S. C. 1701 u (section 3). Contractors are invited to submit lump sum bids for Bid Packages One through Twenty-Four (1-24) for the Administration Center - Buford City Schools, Buford, Georgia.
Sealed bids will be received by the Construction Manager until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008, at the office of the Owner Board Room, Buford City Schools, 70 Wiley Drive, Buford, GA 30518. You must submit Bids in duplicate on the Construction Manager's proposal form. Some packages require a 5% Bid Bond as described in the bid package descriptions. A thorough review of the bid package descriptions and bid documents is required prior to submitting bids.
The form of agreement will be AGC Document 640, 1994 Edition, between the Construction Manager and the Successful Bidder.

BEAUTIFUL SERVICES, INC.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a qualified proposer to provide turnkey services to include all design, material supply, fabrication, shipment to site, installation, start-up, commissioning and any other necessary service to supply and install the materials handling processing system for the new Recovered Materials Processing Facility.
Written proposals must be received by no later than 3:00 PM, local time on October 17, 2008 at 750 South Perry Street, SW, Suite 310, Lawrenceville, GA 30045. Proposals received after that time will not be accepted. Fax transmittals or emails of said proposals will not be
accepted.
Proposals are to be submitted in triplicate and in a sealed envelope, and shall be signed by a duly authorized officer of the proposer. All proposals will become and remain the property of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. Proposals will be evaluated based on criteria that must be obtained via an email request to Becky Amsden at Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful, bamsden@gwinnettcb.org. Proposal criteria will be delivered via email in reply to the request.
All Proposals submitted shall remain open for acceptance by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful, and same shall be honored by the proposer, for a period of sixty (60) days from the date set forth hereinabove for the receipt of Proposals. Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Services, Inc. reserves the right to revise and amend the RFP, any
instructions, or clarify same, by Addendum. If such revisions or amendments are of such magnitude as to warrant, in the sole discretion of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Services, Inc., the postponement for the date of the submission and receipt of proposals, written notification shall be issued to any proposer who has obtained RFP materials.
At the discretion of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Services, Inc., and in conformity with the applicable provisions of Georgia law, proposers found to be reasonably susceptible of being selected for award may be afforded an opportunity for subsequent discussion, negotiation, and revision of Proposals for purposes of pursuing and obtaining best and final offers. Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Services, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any technicalities or informalities. Incomplete or irregular Proposals may be rejected by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Services, Inc. A 100% Performance and Payment Bond will be required equal to 100% of the contract sum.
